INformation For Patients

• Following your consultation you can be sent the invoice (with full copy of your cost and any applicable Medicare Rebates disclosed). This option is preferred by most of our patients, as they have clear records sent via email. This is also the preferred option of the practice, as it ensures you have copies of your appointment history.
• When you receive the invoice via email, it is password protected --/--/---- once open simply click on the hyperlink and enter your bank/credit card details to pay online. Once paid you will receive a receipt any Applicable Medicare Rebates are received to your nominated bank account within 48hrs.

Our systems track payment of service invoices and history of lodgments to Medicare. As a regulated industry any amounts you may receive back from Medicare are based on the nature of your visit with the Endocrinologist.

Lodgment to Medicare occurs after your payment. If you have an outstanding invoice, you will be notified by email of the amount outstanding, the date of your attendance, with link for payment. We will also attempt to make contact with you by phone, we can process payments in person and over the phone if you struggle to pay via secure link via email. If after failed attempts of outstanding invoices not being paid, the practice reserves the right to notify credit reporting agency of non payment. If this is the case your Credit Score may be negatively impacted. 

• The office will process any Medicare claims on your behalf, following your upfront payment Medicare is notified, and as long as you have a valid referral your claim will be submitted. It normally takes up to 48 hours for medicare to apply rebate and deposit into your account, if you are unable to locate it may be that medicare requires some information, if in any doubts please e-mail or call our office for assistance and notification. 

• Telehealth appointments are video appointments.
• Medicare Rebate's subject to your eligibility (Not applicable if your are overseas at the time of your appointment).
• Shortly after booking a telehealth appointment you will be sent via your telehealth link.
• Medicare Rebates will be sent on your behalf.
• You are required to pay in full at least 24hrs after to your appointment (Invoices are sent via email after your appointment).
• If you need to adjust your appointment you can do so via the online booking link. If you wish to cancel please email or call our office.
• You will be sent the Telehealth Video link prior to your appointment. If you need to call or email the office to confirm the link, please do so. Or link is found on https://www.hormonalhealth.com.au/telehealth

 Depending on the complexity, you may have a Long Phone Appointment or Short Phone Appointment.

Long Phone Appointment

• If you require a long phone appointment. this is at the cost of a Review Appointment. These appointments are typically the same length as a review consultation and billed at the same cost ($200).

Short Phone Appointment

• f you require a short phone appointment, you will generally be charged less than a review appointment. Short phone appointments are normally initiated by the Doctor, where minor updates are required. They're not a substitute for a long appointment. A short phone appointment is typically less than 10 minutes in duration, and may be billed less than $200.

When seeing the Endocrinologist, both your referring medical professional and you as the patient will receive the report from your medical appointment. These reports are sent securely with medical encryption to open. Any reprint of scripts are regulated and therefore resending is at a cost. 

In person, we can reprint letters for you, however if you wish to receive older letters via electronic mail, you may do so after signing a waiver form releasing your records accepting your privacy waiver before the practice can send you your records. 

• Directly behind the building 2hr timed (free) parking. Be aware fines apply if you go over time (if you are over time you are fined automatically). Other options of parking on the street available, be aware to check time limits as Council Patrols the area for parking over time limits.
