Dr Yoges Venugopal

Dr. Yoges Venugopal obtained her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery degree in 2004. She later undertook specialist training in internal medicine, followed by advanced training in endocrinology abroad. She completed the final phase of her training at the Department of Endocrinology, Nepean Hospital in Sydney, in 2015. Dr. Venugopal holds a subspecialty certification in Endocrinology and Diabetes from the Federation of Royal Colleges of Physicians of the United Kingdom.
Before establishing the Hormonal Health Specialist Centre in Drummoyne, Dr. Yoges Venugopal provided specialized care in various locations across Sydney, including Kogarah, Randwick, Macquarie Park, and Ryde. Her extensive experience in diabetes management and a broad range of endocrine disorders makes her a sought-after endocrinologist.
Before relocating to Sydney in 2023, Dr. Venugopal served as a consultant endocrinologist with Queensland Health, where she was the clinical lead and coordinator for diabetes and endocrine services in the Mackay region. She currently holds a concurrent appointment as a staff specialist at Ryde Hospital, contributing to the osteoporosis refracture prevention service.
Dr. Venugopal brings extensive experience in managing diabetes and various common and complex endocrine disorders, both in Australia and internationally. She is a member of the Endocrine Society of Australia (ESA), the European Society of Endocrinology (ESE), and the US Endocrine Society.
Her clinical expertise includes the treatment of diabetes mellitus (including insulin pump therapy), as well as disorders of the pituitary, thyroid, parathyroid, adrenal, and gonadal glands. Her special interests lie in the management of obesity, osteoporosis, and steroid-induced endocrine conditions. In addition to her clinical work, she is actively engaged in research, with publications in internationally peer-reviewed journals.
