Dr Yoges Venugopal

Dr. Yoges Venugopal obtained her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery degree in 2004. She later undertook specialist training in internal medicine, followed by advanced training in endocrinology abroad. She completed the final phase of her training at the Department of Endocrinology, Nepean Hospital in Sydney, in 2015. Dr. Venugopal holds a subspecialty certification in Endocrinology and Diabetes from the Federation of Royal Colleges of Physicians of the United Kingdom.
Prior to establishing the Hormonal Health Specialist Centre in Drummoyne, Dr Yoges Venugopal has provided specialist care in various locations across Sydney including Kogarah, Randwick, Macquarie Park, and Ryde.
Before relocating to Sydney in 2023, Dr. Venugopal served as a consultant endocrinologist with Queensland Health, where she was the clinical lead and coordinator for diabetes and endocrine services in the Mackay region. She currently holds a concurrent appointment as a staff specialist at Ryde Hospital, contributing to the osteoporosis refracture prevention service.
Dr. Venugopal brings extensive experience in the management of diabetes and a wide range of common and complex endocrine disorders, both in Australia and internationally. She is a member of the Endocrine Society of Australia (ESA), the European Society of Endocrinology (ESE), and the US Endocrine Society.
Her clinical expertise includes the treatment of diabetes mellitus (including insulin pump therapy), as well as disorders of the pituitary, thyroid, parathyroid, adrenal, and gonadal glands. Her special interests lie in the management of obesity, osteoporosis, and steroid-induced endocrine conditions. In addition to her clinical work, she is actively engaged in research, with publications in internationally peer-reviewed journals.
Dr. Venugopal is a dedicated endocrinologist who prioritizes high-quality, evidence-based, and patient-centered care. She focuses on individual patient needs and collaborates closely with patients and other healthcare providers to develop effective, long-term management plans aimed at improving health outcomes and overall well-being.
CREDENTIALLED DIABETES EDUCATOR
GABRIELA ABRAHAMSON

Gabriela Abrahamson is a highly experienced Credentialled Diabetes Educator and Registered Nurse, bringing over 20 years of nursing experience and more than a decade dedicated exclusively to diabetes care and education.
She holds a Master of Advanced Nursing (Diabetes Specialty) and is currently completing her Master of Nurse Practitioner at the University of Sydney, expected to be completed in late 2026.
Gabriela currently holds a clinical appointment at St Vincent’s Hospital, Sydney, where she provides expert care across the spectrum of diabetes management — including Type 1 Diabetes, insulin pump therapy, and continuous glucose monitoring (CGM). She also supports clients living with Type 2 Diabetes, Gestational Diabetes, Diabetes in Pregnancy, and pre-diabetes, offering comprehensive education and support for those commencing injectable treatments for diabetes and weight management.
Prior to her current role, Gabriela worked across several diabetes centres within the Northern Sydney Local Health District, serving as both a Clinical Nurse Consultant and Clinical Nurse Specialist.

Gabriela is deeply committed to providing individualised, evidence-based care. She believes in a collaborative, patient-centred approach, working closely with patients, their families, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams — including GPs, Dietitians, and Endocrinologists — to design effective, holistic, and sustainable diabetes management strategies. Her goal is to empower each person to achieve optimal health outcomes and enhance their quality of life through knowledge, support, and self-confidence in managing their condition.
